Race for Congress District 20: Dr. Rudolph Moise Withdraws

“Public service is not about protecting political comfort zones; it is about showing up where your voice, experience, and advocacy are most needed.

After careful reflection and conversations with residents, community leaders, and supporters throughout Miami-Dade and Broward, I have decided to run for Congress in Florida’s 24th District. This campaign is not about rejecting the past. It is about building on the strong foundation and legacy of leadership this district deserves while bringing the urgency, energy, and fight this moment demands.

My focus remains on the issues that matter most to working families, affordability, healthcare, housing, jobs, veterans, small businesses, and making sure communities that have been overlooked have a strong voice. The growing affordability crisis, rising political division, and attacks on working families require new leadership and new tactics.

Democracy was never meant to depend on one person. More than 360 million Americans depend on 435 members of Congress to show up, vote, fight, and help shape the future of this country. When that responsibility is ignored, delayed, or treated without urgency, the voices of the people are muted.

Families across South Florida are struggling to pay for gas, groceries, housing, healthcare, and basic necessities while Washington grows more disconnected from the realities people are facing every day.

Our internal polling shows this message is resonating: we are within the margin of error with voters over 65 and performing extremely well with voters under 55, who are deeply concerned about their financial future and looking for leadership that understands the economic pressure they are facing.

At a time when extremists continue attacking democratic institutions, economic stability, and the quality of life of working Americans, South Florida needs leadership that is fully present, engaged, and prepared to fight back.

As a Colonel, I was taught that leadership is about service, teamwork, and stepping forward when the mission becomes difficult. When one person slows down, the next steps up because the mission is bigger than any individual. Right now, the mission is clear: defend democracy, protect economic opportunity, and fight for the people who feel abandoned by Washington.

I have deep respect for those who have served this district and helped shape its voice in Congress. That includes Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, whom I have supported in the past and whose years of service to this community deserve recognition. It requires action, presence, urgency, and the willingness to fight every single day for the people we represent. That is why I am running for Congress in Florida’s 24th District: to honor the district’s history while bringing the focus, discipline, and energy needed to move our communities forward.

This decision is about the people: their future, their voice, their dignity, and their right to leadership that shows up when it matters most.”
