The 2nd Annual Art Beat Festival Brings Art Basel Atmosphere To Little Haiti

Art Beat Miami Kicks Off During Art Basel Week with a Conceptual Pop-up Art Fair at the Caribbean Marketplace. 

MIAMI – In its second year, Art Beat Miami is the highly anticipated satellite show presented by Northeast Second Avenue Partnership (NE2P) showcasing emerging and renowned artists from Haiti and around the world.

Nestled in the heart of Downtown Little Haiti, Art Beat Miami will feature emerging and renowned artists, painters, craftspeople, sculptors, art exhibits, murals, performers, musicians, DJs and Haitian folklore dances. The festival brings together multidisciplinary artists working in collaboration to highlight the culturally rich and diverse creativity of local artists and the Caribbean Diaspora here and beyond.

For six days, the Little Haiti’s art community will converge for a one-of-a-kind experience celebrating the artistic expression, music, and food inspired by the rich culture of Haiti during Miami Art Week.

Art Beat MiamiArt Beat Miami’s pop-up art fair exhibiting great works from local and international artists will take place Tuesday December 1st to Sunday December 6th at The Caribbean Marketplace in the Little Haiti Cultural Center (212 NE 59th Ter).

Art Beat Miami will showcase the best works across a variety of mediums including paintings, sculptures, drawings, fine art, street art installations and photographs. Pulitzer Prize winning Miami Herald Photojournalist Carl Juste will be curating the exhibition.

The Little Haiti Mural Project will be curated by Yo Miami and will be a large-scale public street art installation, spanning 30-buildings throughout Little Haiti, featuring the work of muralists of Case Maclaim, Axel Void, Yuhmi Collective, Claudio Picasso (CP1), Jorge Rodriguez, Hoxx, Ruben Ubiera and many more.

Getting to Art Beat Miami

For your convenience, the City of Miami will extend the Midtown trolley to various locations throughout Little Haiti including Art Beat Miami exhibition.  The route will start in Midtown and will offer free transportation between the Design District and Little Haiti. NE2P has created a Little Haiti Art Week Miami Map identifying all mural gallery exhibitions and events throughout the neighborhood. This map will be available at www.artbeatmiami.com and www.ne2p.org.

Entry to Art Beat Miami is free and open to the public. The Art Beat Miami fair launches with an opening ceremony on Tuesday, December 1st from 6:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. at the Caribbean Marketplace in the Little Haiti Cultural Center (212 NE 59th Ter).
