Volleyball Player Ready To Represent Jamaica At Rio Olympics

Jamaican Volleyball Player, Danielle Perry Representing Jamaica At Upcoming Summer Olympics

WEST PALM BEACH – Volleyball Player, Danielle Perry is a Jamaican American athlete on the path to representing Jamaican Volleyball at the 2016 Rio Olympics this summer.  Danielle’s family is from Manchester, Jamaica.

As a youth and stellar athlete at Miramar High School, Perry was recruited to the Florida Atlantic University track and field team. Her passion for athletics continued after college as Perry’s love for volleyball blossomed after leisurely playing fours then doubles locally on Ft. Lauderdale and Miami Beach. As her passion for the sport increased, she began participating in tourneys locally and internationally.

In 2015 the prestigious RJR Jamaican Sports Awards honored Perry as the Volleyball Athlete of the year. At the award ceremony Perry said, “I am fully focused on winning and taking Jamaica one step closer to qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games”.

As one fourths of the Jamaican team, Perry has dedicated all her efforts to representing Jamaica in volleyball at the upcoming Olympics in Brazil with her teammates, Kai Wright, Alicia Malcolm and Sashalee Wallen.

The team’s next upcoming match is in El Salvador on May 12th through 16th then the finals in Mexico from June 20th -27th.

With free to fly as her personal motto she hopes to open doors for the sport and inspire the youth in Jamaica and across the globe to work hard toward their goals and to life to it’s fullest potential.
