Reggae Sumfest Honours Beres Hammond, the King of Lover’s Rock

Kingston, Jamaica – Internationally acclaimed singer Beres Hammond returns to the Reggae Sumfest stage with much fanfare after a 3 year hiatus. Summerfest Productions, organisers of the Festival will honour the musical stalwart at the event with thousands of Beres’fans to witness. Reggae Sumfest set for July 17-23 in Montego Bay promises to be an explosive affair featuring top acts such as International sensation Nikki Minaj, and Jamaican superstars CeCile, Tifa, Kip Rich, Protoje, Jah Cure, Half Pint and Konshens.

Always a crowd favourite, Beres Hammond will wow the crowds with timeless hits such as No Disrespect, Can’t Stop A Man From Trying, Standing In My Way and She Loves Me Now, to name a few.

Summerfest Production will confer a special award on the indomitable Reggae Star who has gracefully carried the Reggae banner to the four corners of the world during his career. Beres Hammond has made it clear that Sumfest is one of his favourite shows to perform, and according to manager Mervis Walsh the smooth crooner is eager to deliver out west.

“Beres loves to perform at Sumfest because of the exceptional reception he gets, it’s been a while since he has graced the stage at Catherine Hall and he has made it clear that he will be delivering one of the best sets locally come July.”

The man, who many know for his soulful voice and eclectic lovers’ rock ballads, will also be honoured at the festival for his outstanding contribution to the Jamaican music industry.

Reggae Sumfest takes place on July 17-23 in Montego Bay and is sponsored by Red Stripe Bold, Jamaica Tourist Board, Digicel, Iberostar and new comers Pepsi. Tickets’ are available online June 30 and in outlets July 1.
