Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism schedule to speak in South Florida

DAVIE – Minister of Tourism, Jamaica, the Honorable Edmund Bartlett will deliver the keynote address at the 8th Anniversary Banquet & Fundraiser for the Fellowship New Testament Church of God, Inc, on Friday, December 12, 2007 at 7:00 pm, at the Plantation Hotel & Conference Center (formerly Holiday Hotel), 1711 North University Drive, Sunrise, Florida, 33322.

The Honorable Edmund Bartlett, is expected to address patrons on matters pertinent to Jamaica’s tourism industry as well as our feature theme “The Role of the Church in a Changing Society”.

Also schedule to address the audience are; Jamaica’s new Consul General to Miami, Hon. Sandra Grant-Griffiths and host patron, Bishop Dr. Fedlyn A Beason, Field Director, Church of God Worldwide Missions (Caribbean Division).

The Banquet is being stage under the theme, “The Role of the Church in a Changing Society”, and will salute the extraordinary stewardship of Bishop Dr. Fedlyn A. Beason, an outstanding leader and the first of African descent to have held the prestigious position of Church of God’s top executive worldwide as well as the recent move of the church to its new location at 4140 SW 54th Avenue in Davie, Florida.

Proceeds from the banquet will benefit the church’s core mission of being an institution that provides genuine care for humankind, cultivating compassion in reaching out to the disadvantaged and/or oppressed within the society.

The Fellowship New Testament Church of God currently adopts the Broward Outreach Center for the Homeless among others by providing care and comfort through financial contributions. The church community has also been involved in providing physical assistance to Habitat for Humanity, Florida Youth Ranches and International World Missions as well.

Gate prize for the evening’s event will be trip for two to Jamaica via Air Jamaica.
