They are among the Caribbean nationals who will appear at the one-week literary festival and market which will showcase the works of nearly 300 authors, editors, publishers and literary agents from around the world.  They are poet laureate Mervyn Morris, OM; novelists Marlon James and Geoffrey Philp; children’s book author and publishing advocate Kellie Magnus; and publisher and literary magazine editor, Tanya Batson Savage.

For several years, Jamaican authors have been participating in the literary street fair which has grown to attract thousands of visitors during the week. A planned agenda of activities will entertain the book enthusiasts as they will participate in panel discussions, book readings and signings, and programs for children and families.

The Book Fair will also feature a series of special evenings with famous authors, a highlight of the yearly literary delight.

On Monday (Nov. 24), Jamaica’s Consul General Franz Hall will host an “Evening of Book Reading/Signing” with the visiting Jamaican authors starting at 6:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m., at the Union Institute and University, Florida Academic Center at 16853 NE Second Avenue – Suite 201, North Miami Beach (33162).
