MIAMI — The Jamaica Tourist Board has launched its “Taste of Jamaica Experience” roadshow, a six-city Southeast U.S. initiative designed to give more than 500 travel advisors the latest destination updates while immersing them in the island’s food, music and culture.
The roadshow, running July 21-30, will make stops in Raleigh, Charlotte, Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando and Miami. At each event, travel professionals will meet with Jamaica Tourist Board representatives, receive updates on destination developments and gather insights aimed at helping drive future bookings to Jamaica.
“Jamaica is known for some of its powerful cultural expressions, and food falls in the top three,” said Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett. “It is therefore strategic to amplify our culinary expertise in our top source market with our top-selling advisors, who are champions of promoting the destination.”
The events will feature Jamaican favorites including banana chips, spiced buns, ginger biscuits, busta candy and I Love Jamaica chocolate squares, along with a plated dinner. Programming also includes live cultural entertainment by the Jamaica Cultural Folk Group, Rythmz of the Caribbean, and reggae band Askia Bakari.

The Jamaica Tourist Board will also recognize its Jamaica Travel Specialist Top 50 Alumni Travel Advisors during the roadshow.
