MIAMI – The Haitian Ad Hoc Committee cordially invites Miami-Dade residents to “Reflections on Haitian Flag: Valuing Each Other’s Accomplishments” on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Board of County Commissioners Chambers (2nd Floor), 111 NW 1st Street, Miami, Florida 33128. The event, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will celebrate Haitian Flag Day, the anniversary of the creation of the island’s national flag in the midst of fighting for independence from France.
This historical event will feature participants such as Father Reginald Jean-Marie, Pastor Jonas Georges, Historian Anthony Georges Pierre, David Andre (Young Son of our Great Performer Kapi of Tabou Combo), Misty Jean and many more.
