DLIMERS Organize For Race For The Cure

MIAMI – For the 11th year of participation, Team DLIMERS, a coalition of Caribbean businesses and organizations will host one of the largest teams for the  19th Annual Komen Race for the Cure at Bayfront Park on Saturday, October 18, 2014.

Using the power of music and culture, Team DLIMERS hosts a Caribbean themed brunch for team members and also ask all women to adorn themselves with past Carnival headpieces for the annual race or walk.

Due to local community support in recent years, Team DLIMERS has been able to provide an enjoyable experience for the team’s breast cancer survivors and Race participants. In 2003, the Team started with two company partners (delancyhill and BILMOR) and 30 participants.  Last year, Team DLIMERS celebrated with over 15 companies/organizations and 400 race/walk participants.

Local community organizations and businesses are encouraged to join the team as sponsored partners.  In exchange, the Team will offer branding opportunities on the official Team tshirt and other online promotions.

Individual registrations for the Race for the Cure have been begun and could be processed at the Team link at http://miamiftl.info-komen.org/site/TR/RacefortheCure/MIA_MiamiFtLauderdaleAffiliate?team_id=303438&pg=team&fr_id=4558
