SOUTH FLORIDA – With almost 30 days to go for the midterm general elections, Floridians are voting and Mayor Andrew Gillum is riding the waving energy in all corners of the State on his journey as the Democratic nominee for the Governor of the State of Florida.
As Florida A&M University and Bethune-Cookman University celebrate their Annual Homecoming in Tallahassee and Daytona Beach, respectively, the University of Miami Hurricanes host the Florida State University Seminoles in Miami, and Caribbean-Americans from around State of Florida gather for the 34th Annual Miami Broward Carnival cultural celebrations in South Florida, Floridians are gearing up to beat the voter registration deadline of October 9th.
To commemorate this activism for voter registration and volunteer mobilization, DJ TRooKLyN, a South Florida native of Trinidad & Tobago descent and a former police officer, has compiled some of the campaign’s favorite songs for an Official #BringitHome Mixtape.

Who is DJ TRooKLyN
DJ TRooKLyN, aka, Alana Ashley, started her career as a young musician and began DJing in 1999.
Since then, she has worked alongside many popular male DJ’s and hosted events for well-known musicians, models, government officials and numerous volunteer organizations.
She has performed on AM, FM and Internet Radio Stations, is the first female member of a DJ group based in Brooklyn, New York known as “The Legendary Supreme Team” and mentors two (2) teen DJ’s in South Florida. DJ TRooKLyN has been the headline DJ for the City of Miramar’s Caribbean-American Heritage Celebration, Miami Fashion Week and tied for first place in the City of Opa Locka’s Art of Transformation “Battle of the DJ’s” Competition.
