City of Miramar’s Annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration – Jan. 19th

MIRAMAR – The City of Miramar will host their annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration on Monday, January 19th from 11:00AM to 4:00PM. The Celebration will kick off with a parade starting at Forzano Park located at 2000 South Douglas Road and culminating with the celebration at Lakeshore Park located at 8501 South Sherman Circle.

The parade will proceed north and then east around Sherman Circle. Residents can view the parade along Sherman Circle. The celebration at Lakeshore Park begins immediately after the parade.

The event, hosted by Rodney Baltimore of HOT 105, will be a fun-filled day of food, music, dancing and entertainment to include musical group The Old Skool Gang and Author/Speaker Mirthell Bayliss Bazemore. A Kid’s Zone with inflatables for all ages, Food Trucks & Vendors, Novelty Vendors and an Art Exhibit will be available to all patrons. Bring your blankets and chairs!

Marching bands, dance groups, community based organizations, churches and business are all invited to join the parade. For parade information or participation, please call the City of Miramar Parks and Recreation Department at (954) 602-3319.
