Olive Lewin Foundation hosts Sunday Brunch bringing Jamaican Culture and heritage to the Diaspora

PLANTATION – The Olive Lewin Heritage Foundation will host a Sunday Brunch, next Sunday, October 26th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Deike Auditorium located at 5701 Cypress Road in Plantation.

The Brunch is the first of a series of fundraisers hosted by the Foundation which is designed to communicate Jamaica’s culture and heritage to the Diaspora through varied entertainment.  Patrons to the Brunch will be entertained by the Tallawah Mento Band and Jamaica’s musical ambassador and tenor, Steve Higgins.

Patrons will also enjoy a sumptuous meal of Jamaican fare.  Other attractions will also include a Dutch auction.

Proceeds form the Brunch will go towards establishing the Olive Lewin Scholarship Fund with an expected launch date of early next year (2015).  The Olive Lewin Heritage Foundation was launched in May, this year, at Nova Southeastern University in Davie.
