Businesswomen’s Conference Offers Contracting Opportunities – December 16th

MIAMI GARDENS – Small businesses, especially those owned by women, will be in for a treat tomorrow at the Betty T. Ferguson Community Complex, 3000 N.W. 199th Street in Miami Gardens.

The MBDA Business Center of the U.S. Department of Commerce will host an information-packed Businesswomen’s Conference in collaboration with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

For those companies already doing business with the government, there will be updates on new contracting opportunities for 2012, and which agencies are focused on increasing their purchasing goals and utilizing small, minority and women-owned businesses as vendors.

“This government contracting conference is designed to assist small businesses and women-owned businesses to better understand the various government certifications, sharpen their presentation skills, navigate the government contracting space, bid more competitively, and win more local and federal government contracts,” said Marie Gill, whose company, M. Gill & Associates, operates the MBDA Business Center under contract with the U.S. Department of Commerce – MBDA.
