MIRAMAR – The City of Miramar and the National Association of Caribbean-American Journalists will host a town hall meeting to discuss issues that impact the Diaspora and what, if anything, CARICOM is doing to address the Diaspora’s concerns.
Confirmed panelists are, Dean of the Caucus of CARICOM Ambassadors and Grenada’s Ambassador to the U.S., Denis Antoine; Trinidad and Tobago’s Consul General, Hon. Gerard Greene; Local 10 Anchor, Neki Mohan; Miramar Vice-Mayor Winston Barnes; South Florida Caribbean News Founder, Ian Hamilton and Immigration Attorney, Dahlia Walker-Huntington.
This town hall meeting will be held at Miramar Town Center, City Hall, Commissioner Chambers on March 28. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.to 7:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the National Association of Caribbean-American Journalists to help foster better public input in the changing paradigm between the Caribbean region and its Diaspora.
In addition, the Diaspora will gain vital information on how to access the media to promote their cause.
The meeting is free and open to the public and will kick of a weekend of activities by NACAJ at the Sheraton Suites Plantation Hotel in Plantation.
