MARGATE – We Florida Financial has announced an expansion of its credit union services into Monroe County. Spearheading its growth effort will be Anne West (MLO # 770540), newly appointed regional mortgage loan officer for the Upper Keys. The announcement was made by Lloyd Gill, president and CEO of We Florida Financial.
According to the Credit Union National Association, more than 100 million Americans currently utilize 6,900 credit unions in the country. Currently, however, few credit unions exist in Monroe County and this limits residents’ access to the affordable financial services that credit unions provide. We Florida Financial is hoping to change that by making cost-saving banking services such as higher rates of return on savings accounts, lower interest rates on loan, fewer fees, financial education seminars, youth programs and more available to the Upper Keys region.
West will be working with local chambers, government entities, business groups and community organizations to maximize their revenue and investment opportunities and secure lower loan rate mortgages.

For the past 15 years, West has served as the call center sales manager with We Florida Financial. She has continuously exceeded yearly goals by generating growth and enhancing the organization’s loan portfolio. During her tenure, she’s also been responsible for training call center operations staff, promoting ongoing financial industry fundamental education and serving as a role model for the We Florida Financial loan team.
Prior to joining We Florida Financial, West developed her skills at a variety of financial institutions in South Florida. Her wealth of experience included serving as a client financial analyst with Citibank N.A. in Fort Lauderdale, as a senior financial service representative for SouthTrust Bank and as a customer service manager for Savings of America, both in Delray Beach. West also spent 10 years as an assistant branch manager with Glendale Federal Bank in Fort Lauderdale which she helped transition into the Barnett Bank family.
