Third annual Taste of Haiti to take place Saturday, May 9
MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Commission Chairman Jean Monestime, District 2, and the City of North Miami, in collaboration with the Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida, the Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in Miami and the Haitian Culinary Alliance, will present the third annual Taste of Haiti on Saturday, May 9 from 3 to 9 p.m. at MOCA Plaza, 770 NE 125th Street, North Miami, FL 33161.
The free-admission culinary extravaganza will showcase delicious Haitian cuisine from some of the best Haitian chefs and restaurants in the community. The event, which is part of the County’s month-long celebration of Haitian Cultural Heritage Month, also will feature activities for the entire family, as well as music and entertainment by Mecca a.k.a. Grimo, with DJ NickyMix on the turntables. There also will be a live performance by Miami’s own X-Tassy and Madafi Pierre from France.
