South Florida Premieres Jamaican Documentary, One People

HOLLYWOOD – The South Florida premiere of the Jamaican documentary, One People. made it’s debut on Saturday Oct. 27th in Hollywood, FL.

“One People” celebrates Jamaica’s global reach, the island nation’s 50 years of independence, and its significance on the world stage. “The film captures the essence of the Jamaican people at home and in the Diaspora. It truly is a great tribute to Jamaica and 50 years of independence,” says Xavier Murphy local sponsor of the film debut.

“We wanted to tell the story of Jamaica in a new way; a way that inspires and motivates and a way that celebrates and makes us proud,” said One People producer, Zachary Harding.

Jamaica’s Consul General Sandra Grant Griffiths was in attendance and met with organizers at the recent screening.
