“This was my first music video and I was very nervous,” explains Sasha. “Terry told me to relax and have fun. He made me feel comfortable and gave me a lot of tips. One was to keep singing even after the camera stopped.”

“It was a pleasure for me to work with her, doing the song,” says Linen.  “The song is doing well in Jamaica. Everyone wants to know who she is.  I wish her well and that she’ll get to the sky.”

This Ft. Lauderdale lady, with her inspiring melodic vocal range, has strong roots in Jamaica’s music culture. Her grandfather and music mentor is Jamaican veteran singer Winston Dias of “Cericy Tea” fame, known for his prolific performances of reggae and R&B with the Drifters.

Sasha’s music influence covers many genres ranging from reggae and dance hall artists like Buju Banton and Sanchez to R&B divas like Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson and Whitney Houston to pop stars like Taylor Swift and Celine Dion. “I’ve been performing Celine Dion’s ‘Power of Love’ since I was 16,” says Sasha. “It’s one of my favorite songs and I’m so excited to have it on this album.” Sasha, 22, began singing as a two-year old. By age 13, she joined her cousin and a friend to create a girl group called 3 Charmz. The group charmed Ft. Lauderdale audiences throughout Sasha’s high school years.

The album “Break Free” is produced by Lindel Thompson, songwriter Fitz “Faevrit” Livermore, bassist Danny “Axman” Thompson, guitarists Junior “Jazz” Ferraro and Dwayne “Shotta” Hoilett (who also contributes on keyboards and drums), Fabian ‘Dadz’ Smith also on keyboards & bass, plus drum programming by Paul Gauntlet and “Axman” with harmony support from Fiona and technical assistance from engineers Jason Sterling, Bobby Digital and Mikey Steer.

“I am very excited about this album,” says Sasha. “I got the chance to work with talented people who taught me some important things. I really appreciate everybody helping me.” The album is distributed by LTK 20 Rechords and is available on iTunes, Amazon and all major online distributors.
