Dez I

Dez I who resides in Clarendon, Jamaica is a talented and focused reggae artist. He released his debut album “GIVE THANKS FOR LIFE” on the New Creation Records imprint and has a number of singles including “ESSENCE” and “SHAKE YUH NATTY” that have garnered impressive radio play in Jamaica and internationally. His passion for music began many years ago when he was active in his church choir in the district of his birth in Harmons, Manchester. That early intoxication for music drove him later, in 1999, to enter and win the Tastee Talent Competition in Jamaica.

Winning the Tastee talent Competition has opened up new avenues of opportunity for him. He was able to do tour dates in the UK, the US, Bahamas and he toured Africa with Rita Marley. After Tastee, he entered an international song competition in the UK where he placed third.

“I really love to sing and perform. It is the only thing I ever wanted to do,” he declared.

Watch out from Dez I stateside as he is expected to embark on an extensive promotional tour of the USA in early spring that will take him to New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta and Florida.
