Jamaicans in South Florida ready to celebrate their Independence – Grand Ball style

MIAMI – As Jamaicans across the globe prepare to celebrate Jamaica’s 45th Year of Independence, South Florida, home to the second largest group of Jamaicans will celebrate their Island’s Independence – Grand Ball style.

The “Jamaica Grand Independence Ball 2007,” will be held on Saturday, July 28th at the Radisson Hotel, 1601 Biscayne Boulevard, downtown Miami, starting from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.

The evening promises to be elegant, exciting, fun-filled and quite entertaining, as the special guest of honor will deliver the Independence Message. Other special guests are dignitaries and officials from Broward, Dade and Palm Beach Counties.

An exciting line up of entertainment is scheduled which includes “Errol Lee & The Bare Essentials Band,” “Faith D’Aguilar,” “The Little Minto Band,” and “Gary Enforcement.” A delectable array of Jamaican cuisine will be displayed and served as well as a formal five-course sit down dinner later on in the program.

The Jamaica Grand Independence Ball is an annual fund raiser event put on by Needy Kids of Jamaica. Needy Kids of Jamaica is an organization devoted to the principle of charitable service: to the advancement of needy children in Jamaica and USA, and to the strengthening of international goodwill.

Needy Kids sponsors and participates in numerous charitable events, which benefit the needy children in Jamaica and the USA.
