One of Florida’s most diverse law firms expands – delancyhill, P.A. joins Hamilton Miller Birthisel, LLP

MIAMI – delancyhill, P.A., a litigation and transactional boutique law firm established in 2001, is expanding its Florida and international presence and joining Hamilton Miller Birthisel, a trial law firm specializing in insurance defense and coverage, premises liability, medical and professional liability, labor and employment, admiralty and maritime, construction, and complex business litigation. The strategic alliance will continue Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel’s rise as the largest blackowned and one of the most diverse law firms in the State of Florida and the Caribbean region.

The founding members of delancyhill, Michelle Delancy and Marlon Hill, each have 20 years of local and international law firm experience. Delancy now serves as the managing partner of delancyhill. Delancy and Hill join Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel as partners. “This alliance not only enhances the services we now offer to our growing client base in the U.S. and the Caribbean, delancyhill brings a solid corporate transactional and government law practice with a duo of attorneys who are perfectly aligned with our core values,” said Jerry Hamilton, managing partner of Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel.

What is the current status of your integration and what’s next? 

Effective January 5, 2015, delancyhill will join and further their integration with HM&B. delancyhill will wind down its operations and consolidate all of its digital infrastructure with the platforms of HM&B.

How will this impact the services to clients or fees for services?  

The alliance will have no impact on the services and/or fees to clients. In fact, all clients will maintain and enjoy the highest levels of customer service and enhanced efficiencies.

How will the alliance impact the local community?

With the alliance, HM&B will leverage and continue its commitment to Florida and Caribbean markets. As one of the most diverse in the State of Florida, the addition of delancyhill and HM&B will continue and expand HM&B’s support and participation in a number of local community organizations, including, but not limited to, local voluntary bar associations, chambers of commerce, community institutions such as, The Miami Foundation, Miami Parking Authority, Miami Book Fair International, Kozyak Minority Mentoring Foundation, and Orange Bowl Committee.
