New tourism attraction opens in St. Kitts

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Another tourism attraction in St. Kitts throws its doors officially open on Tuesday.

Governor General His Excellency Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian and Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas will cut the ribbon to officially open The St. Kitts Experience on Port Zante.

Prime Minister Douglas is down to give the feature address at the opening of the EC$11 million full entertainment facility.

“It showcases a variety of unique offerings that will take customer service to a new level of excellence and satisfaction in St. Kitts,” said owner Mr. John Wallis, who will also assist in the cutting of the ribbon.

He said that the top floor of the complex with its Caribbean themed décor comprises Sweet Lime Restaurant, Night Club and a Bar, while the Asian-themed downstairs will house an additional bar; Mapau Casino with slots and roulette tables as well as gift shop.

The St. Kitts Experience will feature a twice daily live show for Cruise ship passengers showcasing the flamboyant culture of the people of St. Kitts. Patrons will be treated to a weekly dinner theatre including a buffet and a 45-minute show.
