Miami Dade College’s School of Business to Host a Small Business Expo in Downtown Miami

Miami – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) acclaimed School of Business will be hosting a Small Business Expo May 30, at the Wolfson Campus Chapman Conference Center Room 3210 located at 300 N.E. Second Ave. Miami. Admission is free, but attendees must RSVP, via email: [email protected] or by calling 305-237-7103.
The Small Business Education Program (SBEP), presented by the School of Business and sponsored by Citi Foundation, has been offering free seminars, workshops, mentoring programs, and business-to-business events to hundreds of business owners and entrepreneurs since 2008.
This year, the SBEP culminates with a Business Expo featuring a panel conversation at 11 a.m. with a select group of prominent business owners from the local community discussing the challenges and opportunities associated with business ownership. Panelists include: Brian Brackeen, CEO, Kairos; Ray Casas, President, Wragg & Casas Public Relations, Inc.; Monique Font Delacroix, CEO, The Empanada Lady; and facilitator Heradio Luces, CEO, Dualis Consulting Corp.
Concurrent presentations about marketing, sales, and customer service will take place from 1:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. The presentations include: Being Relevant and Building Customer Relationships, 6 Steps to Perfect Your Elevator Pitch, and Integrated Marketing: The Secret Weapon for Small Business.
A business-to-business Expo will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., where over 45 exhibitors from private industries, government, and non-profit agencies will be available for personal consultations. Parking is complimentary.
