Miami – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) acclaimed School of Business will be hosting a Small Business Expo May 30, at the Wolfson Campus Chapman Conference Center Room 3210 located at 300 N.E. The Small Business Education Program (SBEP), presented by the School of Business and sponsored by Citi Foundation, has been offering free seminars, workshops, mentoring programs, and business-to-business events to hundreds of business owners and entrepreneurs since 2008.
This year, the SBEP culminates with a Business Expo featuring a panel conversation at 11 a.m. with a select group of prominent business owners from the local community discussing the challenges and opportunities associated with business ownership. Panelists include: Brian Brackeen, CEO, Kairos; Ray Casas, President, Wragg & Casas Public Relations, Inc.; Monique Font Delacroix, CEO, The Empanada Lady; and facilitator Heradio Luces, CEO, Dualis Consulting Corp.
Concurrent presentations about marketing, sales, and customer service will take place from 1:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. The presentations include: Being Relevant and Building Customer Relationships, 6 Steps to Perfect Your Elevator Pitch, and Integrated Marketing: The Secret Weapon for Small Business.
A business-to-business Expo will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., where over 45 exhibitors from private industries, government, and non-profit agencies will be available for personal consultations. Parking is complimentary.
