Mega Culmination Expected For Jamaica’s Wray & Nephew Reality TV Season Finale

Kingston, Jamaica – The hugely successful Wray & Nephew Contender boxing reality television series is set to climax with a stellar show-down feature with Devon “Joe Fraser” Moncrieffe and Ricardo “The Surgeon” Smith on Wednesday April 27 at the Constant Spring Football Field, to claim the title of Jamaica’s First Wray & Nephew Contender.

Moncrieffe, who ousted crowd favourite Tsetsi Davis on his way to final, will be looking to maintain his 3-0 professional record intact while number three seed Smith, who got by top seed Sakima Mullings, will be looking to make it six wins and one loss in his professional rank.

With a whopping $1 million dollars at stake, both boxers are confident of pulling off a win, with the urban Green Team fighter Moncrieffe holding a slight edge with regards to his aggressive approach in the ring.

Moncrieffe also referred to as the “Slugger”, will be banking on his massive overhead right punch to bring him success once again however his slightly one dimensional aggressive style maybe his Achilles heel against the swift moving and highly tactical Smith.

The more sedate Smith is also expected to continue using his jab strategy to get the better of Moncrieffe and the National representative will be hoping to go the rounds in order to beat Moncrieffe on the cards.

Organizers Wray & Nephew and MJK Television Productions have planned a massive party for the grand finale with a mega stage show set to conclude the big fight night.

Dancehall heavyweights Vybez Kartel, Mavado and I Octane will be throwing a few lyrical punches of their own as they are slated to provide the evening’s entertainment. Young artiste, Melloquene, performer of the theme song for the Wray & Nephew Contender, Champion, will open the show.
