The Minister, who was unable to attend the function, will be presented with her award at a special ceremony to be held in Kingston, Jamaica.
In the meantime, a cheque in the amount of US$2,500 was presented to Executive Director of the New York-based American Foundation for the University of the West Indies (AFUWI), Ann-Marie Grant, for a scholarship for a Grenadian student to study at the university.
Mr. Hall, who is a Grenadian native, used the occasion to pay tribute to the sponsors, advertisers, supporters and readers of the magazine, for their patronage over the years. Past and current staff of the magazine were also recognised at the event.
