Jamaican Consulate stages Community Outreach in Tampa
SOUTH FLORIDA – Jamaican nationals in Tampa and surrounding environs in Central Florida will benefit from a Community Outreach Programme on Saturday, April 9, hosted by the Consulate General of Jamaica in Miami, to provide relevant services and pertinent information.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to2:00 p.m., at the University Area Community Development Center located at 14013 N. 22 Street, Tampa, FL 33613, and will cover a range of consular services, including the processing of Jamaican passport and citizenship applications; providing information about land titles and property valuations, estate management and probate information in Jamaica; Returning Residents and financial services.
Participating agencies at the Outreach Programme will include the Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) and the National Land Agency. These agencies will be joined by representatives from the Jamaica National Building Overseas office and the Victoria Mutual Building Society Representative office in Miami who will provide information in relation to their services.
The session is expected to serve the large number of nationals in the Tampa area and surrounding communities and will serve to improve the delivery of service while making the Consulate General and its partnering agencies more accessible in meeting the needs of the Diaspora.
