FUNSATION4 teams up with up with PULSE8 to present the Moroccan Mystery of Marrakech for Trinidad Carnival 2K8!

TRINIDAD – On Monday, February 4th & Tuesday, February 5th 2008, FUNSATION4 (Rhea Smith, Lonai Mosely, Michelle Forde, Ann Hartley, Genai and Renee Simpson) prepare for Trinidad Carnival 2K8 with the big band PULSE8 and the debut of its 2008 costume line featuring the exotic adventures of Marrakech- A Moroccan Mystery Where Pleasure Awaits.

Following a successful media launch at Club Zen on September 16th, MARRAKECH features a variety of sensual and scintillating sections like HENNA PAINTERS, TREASURE SEEKERS, BERBER TRIBE and more while unveiling its charms through music and entertainment, all part of the unique experience we call Carnival!

PULSE8 presents fresh perspectives in design and creativity with a focus on maintaining their commitment to the needs of masqueraders by providing an improved and unforgettable carnival experience keeping “fun” as the heartbeat of the festivities.

Stepping out in grand style PULSE8 boasts an impressive march and has captured seven major awards for last years’ presentation of Cocktails.

Led by Meg Cheekes, PULSE8 is comprised of a prominent core group that includes Cat & Friends, Cheek 2 Cheek, D’ Coco Crew, FUNSATION4, Joanne Fox, DJ Wendell, Tracey Andre, Dalvin Harris and Ulric Miller (new section partners include Sky Productions, Flaunt3, Options Entertainment).

Other FUNSATION4 projects include Bridging the Gap HIV Youth Initiative – A collaborative effort developed by FUNSATION4 and the Archdeaconries of Brooklyn & Queens HIV/AIDS Ministry to “bridge the gap” between international companies based in the Caribbean and local children’s HIV organizations, such as the Cyril Ross AIDS Nursery (Trinidad), by funding, supporting and strengthening HIV programs and outreach in an effort to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic throughout the Caribbean.

Freddie’s First – a reality based, television, cultural, docu-trip, narrated by 40+-year Reggae music veteran, Freddie McGregor O.D., which highlights the differences and similarities in traditions, culture, music styles and influences between Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago in an effort to educate, identify and unify the two islands.
