Feolla Chastanet heads up Coco Resorts
RODNEY BAY, St. Lucia – Coco Resorts announces that St. Lucian Feolla Chastanet will become the managing director of the boutique properties – Coco Kreole and Coco Palm – in Rodney Bay.
This follows the appointment of former managing director, Allen Chastanet, as Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation this week.
Ms. Chastanet, formerly the marketing director of Coco Resorts, said the staff will miss her brother’s “energy and vision which have contributed to a very successful operation in a short time.” At the same time, the resort staff accept that Minister Chastanet’s vision for sustainable tourism development can be leveraged by the Government of St. Lucia.

“We are thrilled Allen has been appointed as Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation as he truly knows first hand the challenges St. Lucia faces on a global scale. Here at the hotel, he has given us much to work with and we expect to implement the many ideas he has left with us. We are confident all St. Lucians will benefit from his appointment,” she said.
Feolla Chastanet is a former Director of Communications of the UK-based World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). Prior to joining WTTC, she ran her own private tourism marketing company, representing Elegant Resorts International of Jamaica, Antigua Resorts and Palm Island in the Grenadines, Almond Resorts in Barbados and the St. Lucia Tourist Board. She holds a master’s degree in tourism marketing from the University of Surrey.
Coco Resorts’ management team continues with General Manager, Jean St. Rose; Chief Financial Officer Richard DuBoulay; and Senior Operations Manager, Claudine Gilbert who, along with Ms. Chastanet, will oversee upcoming special events set for the new DIGICEL-branded CocoCabana meetings and events venue; as well as the Coco Plum accommodation and shopping plaza expansion plans.
