Community Health and Empowerment Network Inc. Creates Platform To Champion A Sustainable and Healthy Community

MIAMI – Realizing a need to help improve the access to health screenings and programs in the community, the board members of  Community Health Empowerment Network Inc.(ChenTheNetwork) shared their narrative with their strategic partners at the Caribbean Marketplace @ The Little Haiti Cultural Complex to launch their health initiatives. Speakers for the evening included Angela“Myammee” Pitts(former Reality TV star), Representative Daphne D. Campbell(District 108)Motivational Speaker-Pastor Keith Butler, Spoken Word by Rebecca “Butterfly” Vaughn and  Terressa Dorsey-FlygirlDiva of Power 96.

CHEN 2Representative Daphne D. Campbell publicly committed her office to helping ChenTheNetwork with the launch event and other organizations to make sure her community had adequate access to health programs and screenings.

Highlights from the evening came when Angela Myammee Pitts, a Miami native spoke about losing her mother and her twins brother to AIDS. She shared with attendees that she was committed to ensure the community had access testing for HIV through her non-profit organization Project A&M.

About the Community Health and Empowerment Network Inc.

The Community Health and Empowerment Network is a non profit organization that provides charitable empowerment and health education to the underserved and low income population address health disparities in South Florida. We  offer educational courses to help the underserved populations develop healthier habits and lifestyles. We seek to collaborate with individuals, corporations, and organizations to continue our educational programs. We provide assistance to support and sustain small community based organizations in the Network to help them maintain their services to the community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to take on the charge of serving the South Florida Miami Dade County Community through education, advocacy, service and collaboration.  Our goal is to ensure the SF Miami Dade’s community has a fully comprehensive health service that inspire an integrated and supportive health and empowerment system.
