Caribbean Designer, Kazz Forbes To Showcase Collection At The Red Rose Ball – Bahamas
PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos Islands – Organizers of The Annual Red Rose Ball in The Bahamas has invited Kazz Forbes, Principal Designer of Saint George Fashion House (SGFH) to feature his Fall|Winter 2011 ‘Le Caicos Chic: A Romance with Decadence’ collection at this years’ prestigious event.
The Red Rose Ball is a charity fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting the Grand Bahama AIDS Awareness Committee in Freeport, Grand Bahama. Held under the distinguished patronage of The Rt. Hon. Hubert A. Ingraham, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and Mrs. Delores Ingraham – the ball takes place on Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at the Radisson’s Grand Ballroom at Our Lucaya Resort.
Under the theme: ‘A Night at the Opera House, Australia’ – the black-tie charity affair will see guests enjoying a scrumptious five-course cuisine, outstanding entertainment – with the pièce de résistance being Forbes’ Fall|Winter 2011 collection that debuted at the Caribbean International Fashion Week in New York this June.

Mrs. Odette Knowles, Chairman of The Red Rose Ball said: “After seeing Kazz’s creativity and designs – I was so impressed, that when I was in dialoged with members from the committee regarding adding him in with a showcase of All Black and Black & White to tie in with our theme ‘A night at the Opera House’ – they all agreed without hesitation. We are truly delighted to witness the development of a major talent in the making.”
Kazz stated that when asked to participate, there was no struggle for a confirmation from him. He counted this opportunity a privilege to return to Freeport and give back to a community that help gave to him a start by way of education, as he spent part of his youth there.
“The chance to present my collection to a prestigious audience at The Red Rose Ball is indeed a privilege. I am indeed thrilled by the support of the committee and to receive such an honor. What is more, as a Peer Educator of Rap Port TCI, I am pleased to support such a worthy cause, as I am passionate about research into and care for persons infected and affected by HIV/Aids”, said Forbes.
