Caribbean Community Decides on Locals To Be Honored This Caribbean American Heritage Month
SOUTH FLORIDA – The Awardees for the 2nd Annual Caribbean American Heritage Awards from CAHMUSA have been chosen. The public was invited to nominate deserving individuals and the awardees were selected by a Committee.
Awardees announced are Donna Borland, Vice-Mayor Maxwell B. Chambers, Alison F. Smith, Albert Lettman, Marjory Sheba Bonzil, Bharath Boochoon, Denyse Baboolal and Nesta Vassel.
Presentation will take place during the 2nd Annual Caribbean American Heritage Awards & Recognition Banquet & Gala on June 18, 2016, at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center. It will feature Red Carpet arrival, Hors d’oeuvres, Dinner and entertainment provided by talented artistes, entertainers and musicians such as Yamin ‘Virtuoso’ Mustafa and Dancing until close to the sounds of Wasi Entertainment. The announcement of a surprise Special Guest is expected.
Awardees will be featured in the “Expressions” Caribbean American Magazine a beautiful printed publication which is produced in conjunction with the other events being held to celebrate this 10th Anniversary of Caribbean American Heritage Month including the Caribbean American Exhibition & Festival on June 26, 2016. It will also be available online at www.CAHMUSA.com for download or viewing all year long.
