South Florida Ready To Celebrate Caribbean American Heritage Month

SOUTH FLORIDA  – Feel the Spirit of the Caribbean, as Unique Creations By Liz Inc. celebrates and recognizes National Caribbean American Heritage Month (June), with the hosting of several fantastic events.

“Over the years we have added various elements in order to recognize and spread the Caribbean-American Culture and to ensure that it stays alive and strong”. “We as Caribbean people are very proud of our culture and heritage and what a perfect time to celebrate it”, says Elizabeth Burns, CEO.

June 3rd – Our 7th Anniversary will kick-off celebrations, with a meet and greet reception, a free community event with food, live music etc. to give thanks to our many supporters for their participation & support over the years.

June 18th – The second annual Caribbean American Heritage Awards will be held at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center. This event recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to their country and community and who are nominated by their peers. This year’s event will take the form of a Gala/Banquet with red carpet arrival.

June 26th – The Grand Finale, the Caribbean American Exhibition & Festival returns to the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, a brand new facility with Indoor-outdoor staging of corporate vendors, affording them an opportunity to use this event as a platform to showcase their businesses and will also assist them in the forging of new business relationships and partnerships.

There will be several multicultural exhibits, arts and craft, island food, island music, reggae artistes/entertainers, cultural dancers, beauty queens and interactive fun activities for the entire family. The Event starts at 3p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

In conjunction with the events, they will produce/publish the annual “Expressions” Caribbean American Magazine, a lovely printed publication with articles of interest, along with a bird’s eye view of the Caribbean, its people and culture. These serve to make the magazine a source of reference thereby giving continuous exposure to the businesses that have placed advertisements in it. Additionally, it will be available in PDF format for electronic distribution all year-long.
