Antigua’s Prime Minister charges Ambassadors and Consuls General to make investment priority

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – Antigua’s Prime Minister the Hon. Baldwin Spencer on Friday, November 2 called on the country’s Ambassadors, Consuls General and Honarary Consul General for a more valiant effort in conducting the business of the country.

During the annual Meeting of Ambassadors, Consuls-General and Honarary Consul General, the Prime Minister said that the government demands the best from its representatives abroad and the country’s economy is dependent on their successes.

He noted that the sourcing of foreign investment is perhaps the most important element in achieving growth and economic development for Antigua and Barbuda. “I charge you to make this a priority area of your work,” the Prime Minister said.

The meeting also heard presentations from representatives from South Korea, China and the Antigua and Barbuda Investment Authority on issues pertaining to their duties.
