Kingston, Jamaica — Not even the Zika virus could prevent the “King of Dancehall” Beenie Man from celebrating Mighty Crown’s Anniversary in Japan.

Yes, Beenie Man will be on site to perform before a sold-out crowd for an incredible milestone in Mighty Crown’s career, their 25th Anniversary and the 20th Anniversary of their amazing Yokohama Reggae Sai festival on August 11 in Yokohama, Japan.

Beenie Man last performed in Japan over 9 years ago for this very same anniversary and festival. The popular artist’s performance was breathtaking, capturing the attention of more than 35,000 fans. And truthfully, Japanese fans have been craving to see the Dancehall star ever since. Their wishes will come true as he touches the stage on August 11 once again after nearly a decade, despite his recent illness.

Mighty Crown has been celebrating their epic 25th anniversary through out the year.

Commemorations reached an all time high in May when the stellar sound system brought the young Reggae star Chronixx to Japan for his very first time to perform on their Anniversary tour! It was phenomenal to say the least.

Beenie Man has reigned as the “King of the Dancehall” for decades, offering the world a groundbreaking catalogue of music, high energy entertainment, explosive performances and just all out exhibition of Dancehall music and culture.

The top artist made the headlines recently after contracting the Zika virus. Resulting in hospitalization, Beenie Man was forced to cancel performances.

Clearly, he is well on the road to recovery and overjoyed to celebrate with Mighty Crown and thrill his scores of fans in Japan once again!
