Jamaica Diaspora conference 2015 Launch – Feb. 20th

KINGSTON, Jamaica – This Friday 20th February at 10:00 a.m. EST, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade will officially launch the 6th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference 2015 under the theme “Jamaica and the Diaspora: Linking for Growth and Prosperity”. Keynote Speaker at this event is the Prime Minister of Jamaica, Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller. 

The launch event will be streamed live on the internet and will also be broadcast live on selected cable stations in the New York Tri State Area and Canada. We invite all Jamaicans to join us for the special occasion. Please see attached your invitation to the event. Check the invitation to see your time zone for the broadcast. The 6th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference 2015 under the theme Jamaica and the Diaspora: Linking for Growth and Prosperity promises to be an exhilarating, focused and not to be missed event.

The conference, convened by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, is being positioned as the global forum that connects Jamaicans from all over the world with Jamaicans in the home country every two years. The event seeks to strengthen existing linkages and networks, and to build mutually beneficial alliances for Jamaica’s development and standing in the world.

Wherever you are in the world, all Jamaicans are invited to join them, and learn more about the programme of activities planned for the Jamaican Diaspora scheduled in June 2015.
