Miami – With the inaugural season of the World Indoor Soccer League (WISL) set to kick off in June 2006, the league is proud to announce the location and date of it’s next open tryout.
The WISL will hold its next open tryout December 10th and 11th at Wall to Wall, an indoor soccer facility located at 153-10 NW 33RD Place, Miami. For directions call 954-655-5856.
Registration for the tryout will begin at 8:30 am and run throughout the day. Players will be required to participate in skill and game situations. All players are asked to show up with athletic attire and indoor soccer shoes. No equipment, other than balls will be provided.
“Wall to Wall is one of a number of indoor facilities we plan on utilizing for our tryouts before the season begins.” Says WISL president Steven Heller, “Our mission is to bring the best soccer talent that south Florida has to offer, into our league. We feel by bringing the tryouts to various complexes and communities throughout south Florida we will attract the best of the best.”
Players of all nationalities are encouraged to tryout for their national teams, representing countries such as: Brazil, Mexico, Cuba, Peru, Ecuador, Haiti, Jamaica, USA, Argentina, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Columbia, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and more. WISL teams will be comprised of at least 80% of players of a particular nationality.
Players who earn roster spots will be paid on a per game basis and will compete for over $100,000.00 in cash and prizes. All games will take place in the south Florida area.
Players are encouraged to pre-register for the tryouts at a cost of $35.00, cash or money order only. The WISL is a new and exciting brand of professional soccer with teams representing various countries from around the world. The WISL will feature the finest talent from all over south Florida competing in a season long tournament beginning June 2006.
