Spirit of Jamaica Takes Off!

Spirit Airlines moves up service to Kingston with fares starting at $99

Spirit Airlines proudly launched its latest named Airbus A321. In a private ceremony yesterday, the airplane was named “Spirit of Jamaica” in honor of its newest destination.

“We are thrilled to introduce our newest A321 and name it after Jamaica, our newest addition to our network,” said Barry Biffle, Chief Marketing Officer of Spirit Airlines. “We have received such an overwhelming response to our announcement to serve Jamaica that we are not only naming our airplane after the market but we’re also moving up our service date! We had planned to start our Kingston service in December but now we will start on November 10th. The ticket sales to and from Kingston have exceeded our expectations and we look forward to meeting the demand for low fare service as the leading low cost carrier to the Caribbean.”

Spirit Airlines announced a November 10, 2005 start date for its new non-stop service between Fort Lauderdale and Kingston, Jamaica. Spirit will also offer connecting service to both Jamaican destinations from Atlantic City, Chicago/O’Hare, Detroit, NY/LaGuardia, Providence/Boston Area, and Washington, D.C./Reagan National.

Introductory fares are available at www.spiritair.com and are good for travel November 10, 2005 – December 15, 2005 and must be booked by July 31, 2005.
