KINGSTON, Jamaica – As the Travelocity Roaming Gnome® continues its “Summer of Possibilities Tour,” persons are being encouraged to vote Jamaica to allow the icon an unforgettable and unbeatable vacation experience. By casting your vote at www.votetravelocity.com, Jamaica is looking to join a list of exciting destinations the Travelocity Roaming Gnome® has visited over the past five weeks.
Should Jamaica be chosen the winner, the Roaming Gnome will jet off to the breathtaking Caribbean island to experience and enjoy the destination’s natural beauty and diverse culture. Fans will be able to follow his tour and journey online, giving potential travelers a taste of what to expect when they visit.
Voting will begin on Wednesday, July 22 at Noon EDT and runs through to Tuesday, July 28 at 6 pm EDT, so persons are being encouraged to vote early and often.
The Roaming Gnome started his six week summer adventure on June 26, utilizing the social media networks of Facebook and Twitter to spread his message. Each week, the Roaming Gnome’s fans and followers on Facebook and Twitter vote between rival summer destinations to decide on where he travels to for his great adventure. There are six different legs to his “Summer of Possibilities” trip, and Jamaica is among the summer travel destinations on the fifth leg, from which voters will select.
