VIP Travel Packages available for Trinidad Carnival

NEW YORK – Antilia, the Caribbean entertainment brand dedicated to the global promotion of Caribbean culture, entertainment and tourism, is offering VIP travel packages, the first of their kind, for this February’s Trinidad and Tobago Carnival, widely considered as “the greatest show on earth.”

Trinidadian Simon Khan, Antilia’s chief executive, announced that the specially-tailored packages are currently available for travelers heading to Carnival from anywhere in the world, offering a transparent way for the adventurous yet discerning reveler to ‘do Trinidad Carnival right’.

Lamenting the fact that Carnival has been difficult to arrange especially for newcomers, Khan said “our packages represent both a premium experience and tremendous value, and we expect Antilia patrons will have the time of their lives traveling as an insider during the twin-island republic’s national celebration.”

Specially negotiated and discounted airfares from New York, Toronto and Miami are currently available, while special land-only packages, including blocked space at a number of hotels, are also being offered to Carnival patrons who have independently made their airline arrangements to Trinidad, as well as locals who would like to be in the heart of the action.

Antilia packages include round-trip flights to Trinidad, hotel stays at the stunningly elegant Hyatt Regency Trinidad or the brand new Carlton Savannah, ground transportation, exclusive VIP party (fête) tickets, concierge service, costume tailoring, personalised make-up services, and of course, carnival costume in an all-inclusive carnival band which will be part and parcel of the two-day masquerade experience on February 15 and 16, 2010. “From partying with cricket legend Brian Lara to dancing in the streets on J’Ouvert morning, Antilia is promoting the ultimate Carnival experience,” said Khan.

The standard Antilia Carnival Experience package is available from Friday, February 12 to Thursday, February 18, 2010. “We bring you in on Friday so you are in Trinidad in time to enjoy the best fêtes on Saturday and Sunday. And we wouldn’t imagine flying you off – feet sore and all – on Ash Wednesday. So we give you that day to ‘cool off’ and schedule your return flight on Thursday, unless of course you take advantage of one of the package add-ons which includes a two-day visit to sister island Tobago,” said Khan who advised that the Trinidad holiday experience can be seamlessly tailored to anyone’s taste and size.

Last month, world renowned super model and host of Bravo’s Make Me a Super Model, Jamaican-American Tyson Beckford joined two “Trinidadian Ambassadors”, soca king Machel Montano and former Miss Universe Wendy Fitzwilliam at a special promotional event to get New Yorkers into a “Carnival State of Mind”.

The event, held at Tribeca Rooftop, featured Tobago’s very own Sandhurst Tacama-Miggins (featured on Bravo’s Make Me a Super Model) who coordinated a Carnival costume fashion show and walked the runway himself, alongside reality stars from CW’s America’s Next Top Model such as Nik Pace (cycle 5), Sheena Satana (cycle 11) and Aminat Ayinde (cycle 12).
