Victoria Mutual Building Society (VMBS) opens overseas regional office in South Florida

MIAMI GARDENS – Victoria Mutual Building Society (VMBS) will now join the Jamaican corporate offices operating in Florida with the opening of their Miami representative office last month.

The office located in the County Square Shopping Center in Miami Gardens, is the first overseas branch of the VMBS group of companies in the United States.

With a staff complement of three, VMBS through its branch operations will bring a wide range of financial services and products to the nearly 400,000 Jamaicans as well as non-Jamaicans in the tri-county Florida community, and also to the communities across the Southeastern USA.

Branch manager, Ms. Suzette Rochester said that VMBS was pleased to be part of the Jamaican community in South Florida indicating that the Miami location was seen as best fit because of the strong contingent of Jamaicans in this region. The objective of VMBS, she continued, was to replicate our services across the United States in strong growing Jamaican communities.

As the company expands across the Diaspora, VMBS continues its vision to remain relevant to the needs of succeeding generations of Jamaicans. The company will offer services in residential and commercial mortgages, savings, general insurance, property services, investment and wealth creation and advisory services.

Victoria Mutual operates a conglomerate of companies with 15 branches across the island and the 130 year-old company also has satellite offices and agents in the United Kingdom and Canada.

The new branch office is located at 21461 Northwest Second Avenue in Miami Gardens. Contact information is 305-770-2622 or 2643 or 2654 (website www.vmbs.com).
