USDA encourages Jamaican businesspersons to attend Natural Products EXPO

Baltimore The United States Department of Agriculture has announced that its Natural Products Expo East will take place September 26 through 29 at the Baltimore Convention Centre in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA/FAS) encourages Jamaican businesspersons to attend.
Natural Products Expo East is one of the largest expositions of its kind in North America showcasing a range of natural products and cutting-edge educational seminars.

Exhibits will feature natural foods, supplements, vegetarian diet, health care, personal care, natural home and textiles, pet products and specialty foods.

The exposition has rapidly gained popularity on the merit of its potential to galvanize sustainable sales opportunities. In 2006, attendance exceeded 23,000 persons, and this year it is expected to attract a larger number of highly qualified players in the global natural foods industry.

The 1,150 exhibiting companies at the 2006 Expo East reported that over 75 percent of attendees were able to identify new products to add to their portfolio.

Jamaican businesses interested in attending or learning more about the exposition can contact the Office of Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Embassy by telephone at 702-6142 or email [email protected].
