NEW YORK – Danglin, the US-based reggae singer and songwriter who is creating quite a stir with leaks of his single “Heavenly Father” is back in Jamaica this week to shoot the music video this blazing new single. “Heavenly Father”, also called “Serial Breeder” in reference to one of the lines in the song is receiving warm embraces at New York tri-state radio. The song speaks to some critical issues affecting youths in the ghetto in a brutally frank manner.
The video shoot begins next week with scenes in and around Kingston, and it is being directed by Robin Chin who has recently shot music videos for Bling Dawg, Mr Perfect and Nyaka from Trinidad. Scenes will also be shot at the Asylum nightclub.
Danglin was born in Jamaica and migrated to the United States when he was fifteen. After completing high school in New Jersey, he joined the US Navy, serving in Iraq, North Korea and Japan. But while Danglin was building a career in the Navy, his driving passion was always music, and now that he is out of the armed forces, he is happy that he finally has the time to focus on his dream of recording, performing and writing.
Danglin has already recorded over forty songs, and he has had the privilege of opening shows for Sizzla, Morgan Heritage, Beenie Man, Richie Spice and Junior Reid. The combination of Danglin’s piercing lyrics, powerful tracks and his unique style have earned him high marks from reggae fans and music industry insiders alike.
