U.S. Attorney’s Office together with Miami-Dade County hosts South Florida Anti-Gang Summit

MIAMI – Officials from the U. S. Attorney’s Office together with State and County Officials will host the South Florida Anti-Gang Summit in downtown Miami on Monday, September 29, starting at 9:00 a.m.

“The number of gang-related crimes is unacceptable,” said Commission Vice Chairwoman Barbara J. Jordan. “Summit participants will look at the underlying causes and identify effective strategies and national best practices to bring these numbers down, ultimately making our communities safer.”

Top officials in attendance will be, Miami-Dade County State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle, Miami-Dade County Commission Vice Chairwoman Barbara J. Jordan, U. S. Attorney’s Office Executive Assistant James Swain, Chief of Special Prosecutions and Anti-Gang Coordinator, for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Ben Greenberg, Office of Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez Chief of Staff Denis Morales and Ex-gang Leader Ossco Bolton.

The conference will be at the Hilton Miami Downtown, 1601 Biscayne Blvd.
