Tourism Officials Elated as Condor Airlines Announces Plans to Boost Airlift into Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism and Entertainment, the Hon. Dr. Wykeham McNeill was at a Jamaica Tourist Board sponsored dinner with officials of Condor Airlines and other German stakeholders held during ITB Berlin.

The decision to increase flights to Jamaica was met with enthusiasm by the Jamaican tourism officials.

Jamaica’s Tourism and Entertainment the Hon. Dr. Wykeham McNeill, listened intently to Herwig Oberhuber, Head of Planning and International Relations at Condor Airlines explain Condor’s interest in increasing business to Jamaica.

Condor Airlines will be increasing its airlift into Jamaica starting November 2013. The weekly flight from Munich to Montego Bay is in addition to the two existing weekly flights out of Frankfurt.

Condor will now operate three weekly flights into Montego Bay. Minister McNeill is currently in Germany attending ITB Berlin, the world’s largest tourism convention.
