The Reefs, Bermuda, Voted the No. 1 Resort in the Caribbean in the Travel + Leisure 2012 World’s Best Awards
SOUTHAMPTON, Bermuda — The Reefs in Bermuda has been named the Top Resort in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas in the Travel + Leisure 2012 World’s Best Awards. The intimate beach resort scored 92.71 in the annual readers’ survey and was also recognized among the Top 100 Hotels worldwide.
This marks The Reefs 13th consecutive appearance in the World’s Best and second time as No. 1 in the region. The Reefs was also the only resort in the Caribbean honored among the Travel + Leisure Hall of Fame, which recognizes hotels worldwide that have been featured on the list for a solid decade or more.
Renowned for helping guests feel perfectly at ease, The Reefs blends a stunning pink sand beach setting with gourmet dining, world-class spa and casually elegant accommodations. But the reason many guests return year after year is the long-standing Bermudian staff members who greet guests by name with attentive personal service.

Travel + Leisure’s 17th annual awards are based upon the results of the World’s Best Awards survey, which asks readers to rate their favorite hotels, cities, islands, cruise lines, airlines, car rental agencies, spas, safari outfitters and tour operators. Hotels are rated on five characteristics: rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurant/food, and value.
