The City Of Miami Gardens Seeks Opening Acts For Its “6th Annual Jazz In The Gardens” Music Festival

Miami Gardens – Regarded as one of the premier music festivals of the season, the City of Miami Gardens’ 6th Annual “Jazz in the Gardens” will be held at Sun Life Stadium, in the heart of Miami Gardens on March 19 & 20, 2011.

The festival owes its success to a simple formula: great food, extraordinarily affordable ticket prices, amazing weather and most importantly a star-studded line-up of amazing local and national talent.

This year, “Jazz in the Gardens,” in partnership with Sonicbids, is proud to announce the search for the best of the best in talent to open the show. Opening acts will share the stage with our national acts Ms. Lauryn Hill, Gladys Knight, Charlie Wilson, Jazmine Sullivan, Al Jarreau, Doug E. Fresh & Slick Rick, En Vogue, El DeBarge, Lalah Hathaway & Branford Marsalis.

Artists interested in performing at Jazz in the Gardens simply complete an online application through the exclusive submissions partner platform http://www.sonicbids.com/jazzinthegardens . Artists in the jazz and blues genres are encouraged to submit.

Submission is easy through Sonicbids. Those who are not existing Sonicbids members will receive a two-week free trial when they apply for Jazz in the Gardens. Sonicbids will then use the submitted material as an electronic press kit (EPK™) to access the music and information. Once the submissions are 100% complete and as close to perfect as possible, artists will receive a confirmation email that their EPK™ is being processed. Every submission is seen and heard. Selected artists will receive $1,000.

“This is an opportunity of a lifetime for local and national independent artists to share the stage with the festival’s headliners. Imagine opening the show for Lauryn Hill or Gladys Knight, not to mention all the other big voices? The exposure and fame artists gain from being on the Jazz in the Gardens stage is tremendous. Performing live in front of thousands of fans alongside some of the most celebrated names in the recording industry has to be an amazing experience for any rising entertainer,” says Ula Zucker, Events and Media Coordinator and Executive Producer for Jazz in the Gardens.
