The Bahamas Presents at Black Meeting Planners Conference

Fort Lauderdale – The Islands Of The Bahamas was the only international destination represented and presenting at the recent National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners Conference ( NCBMP) 2016, held in St. Louis, Missouri under the theme, “Engage, Impact, Deliver.”

Director of African American Market for The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Mr. Linville Johnson was one of the speakers at the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners Conference to share with the African American meeting planners on all of the new developments in The Bahamas and especially inform them about the country’s preparedness for the upcoming winter travel season in the wake of hurricane Matthew.

Johnson also said that, “The Bahamas is always happy to attract the quality groups that the African American planners have demonstrated its ability to deliver over the years.”

The Director also added that the Black Meeting Planners conference generated a number of leads for The Bahamas, including a proposal to host the Coalition’s Board Meeting in 2017.

Further he shared that discussions are underway for the Bahamas to join the Coalition as co-sponsors of an African American planners site inspection trip to Nassau, to be hosted by the Atlantis Resort sometime in 2017.

Historically a top destination for African American visitors, The Islands Of The Bahamas is continuing to enhance its cultural product that demonstrates the relationship between its people.

Working closely with the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners allows The Bahamas to provide information for the Planners to share with their clients on why The Bahamas continues to be a great vacation option for African Americans.
