KINGSTON, Jamaica – White House Emerging Global Entrepreneur and World Economic Forum Global Shaper, Kirk-Anthony Hamilton, will host the first Tech Beach Retreat in Montego Bay, Jamaica from December 1-3, 2016.

This intimate tech-focused event is designed to create dual gateways for business and innovation between the Caribbean and global markets by bringing together founders, executives, influencers and investors to exchange knowledge, ideas, cultivate opportunities and build relationships through a series of panels, networking sessions and speakers from around the world.

“We are thrilled that Kirk-Anthony Hamilton is putting Jamaica on the map as a business destination,” said Paul Pennicook, Jamaica’s Director of Tourism. “Most people have a skewed perception of Jamaica and don’t think about the business opportunities that actually exist here. Tech Beach Retreat will help position our island as a world-class business destination and a prime environment for innovators, entrepreneurs and investors.”

The format of Tech Beach Retreat provides a unique catalyst for entrepreneurship and enterprise in an immersive, non-hierarchical environment at an AAA Four Diamond all-inclusive resort, Secrets St. James Resort. The founders and catalysts behind Tech Beach Retreat have a global community reach and a track record for hosting noteworthy influencer events that attract global business leaders, celebrities, tastemakers and royalty. World class keynote speakers, include: Peter Corbett, founder and CEO of iStrategyLabs; Gabriel Abed, CEO of Bitt, Stephan Morais, Executive Board Member at Caixa Capital, and Lajuanda Asemota, Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Singularity University.

“The Caribbean as a whole has fallen out of the global ecosystem and my goal is to elevate our position so we become top of mind as a business destination, where opportunity exists and great minds meet spurring greater economic activity and growth,” said Kirk-Anthony Hamilton, founder and CEO of the Infiniti Partnership, Destination Experience and Tech Beach Retreat.

In 2015, Jamaica’s stock exchange was the #1 performing stock exchange in the world and recently rose five spots on Forbes’s list of Best Countries To Do Business. Jamaica’s new government is promoting a plan for 5% growth over the next four years, and these events are expected to play a critical role in attracting investment, innovation and media.
