FT. LAUDERDALE — Minority Development & Empowerment, Inc. is accepting nominations for its annual Spirit of Excellence Awards Presentation. The prizes are
awarded to an Individual, a Corporation and two High School Juniors who have
advanced the cause of the Caribbean Community within Broward, Miami-Dade, and/or
Palm Beach Counties.
Nomination Forms can be downloaded by going to www.haitianflagday.org or by calling
MDEI at (954) 315-4530. Completed forms must be received by mail, fax or e-mail no later
than Monday, April 23rd, 2007.
Broward Community College will award One Full Tuition Scholarship to one student recipient and the other student will receive a $500 scholarship to the institution of his or her choice.
Awardees of the Spirit of Excellence Awards will be announced on Friday, May 18, 2007 during the Haitian Flag Day Celebration with Emeline Michel at Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale. A V.I.P Reception will commence at 5:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 7 p.m.
