SPICE IT UP! Enjoy a taste of the Caribbean this Saturday

North Miami – If you like good food and good music (who doesn’t?), then you’ll love to bring your family to spend some time at the first-ever International Caribbean Food Festival, which will take place Saturday, March 25, 2006 in downtown North Miami in the MOCA Plaza, located on NE 125 Street at 7th Court.

Food from the Islands will excite all pallets at this year’s event. The Festival will be open from 1:00 – 10:00 p.m. this Saturday (March 25th). Cuba, Puerto Rico, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Bahamas and Trinidad & Tobago will showcase the most delicious delicacies from their countries’ cuisine. Attendees will be able to sample a variety of typical foods from the Caribbean and beyond, for a small price.

Admission to the event is free and food tickets ($2 per ticket) will be available for purchase on site.

The event hosted by FANM (Haitian Women of Miami) and the City of North Miami, and produced by Art’Space Productions. Proceeds will benefit FANM, a not-for-profit agency that offers a variety of social and educational services to the South Florida community. Enjoy music provided by DJ Nicky Mix and a free concert by famed Afro-Haitian Jazz quintet from NYC, Mozayik, at 7:00 p.m.

The Festival, produced by Art’Space Productions, will turn Moca Plaza into a food emporium offering the various tastes of the Islands.
